I have been carving leather since I was a
young boy, and was taught by my Father who is a Master leather
carver. He could make anything from a simple belt to very elaborate
holsters, purses, and cases. I was lucky that he passed his art on
to me.
The leather used for my straps is a
special Oak tanned tooling leather from The Tandy leather Factory of
Texas. The parts are hand cut from the best part of the hide. The
leather is very strong, but soft. I contains no heavy metals which
could cause rust or tarnish on metal parts (the is especially
important for holsters). I use only a Wax or Acrylic finish,
and natural dyes.
Over the years I have amassed a
comprehensive Library of Designs and Patterns. If you can't find
what you are looking for here, just drop me a line.
